Students who participate in off-site work-based learning must meet multiple criteria and demonstrate strong professional skills. Participation in an off-campus work program is a privilege, not a right. Students enrolled in these programs will be evaluated by the business, the instructor, and our work-based learning coordinator or other school officials. At any time, a student can be taken off work placement for any reason by any party involved. Students must apply and be evaluated by the Work Based Learning Coordinator prior to being part of an off-campus work program.
Eligibility Criteria may include:
- 95% Attendance
- 2.5 or higher GPA - passing all classes
- Must meet minimum skill competencies established by teachers and industry
- Reliable transportation
- Parent/guardian and student signed Student Awareness Contract
- Lab and Administration approval
